 General directions:

Your essay must be typed or written neatly.
It must have a cover page with your name, school, and grade on it.
If you type it, use size 16 font.

Each teacher who participates will choose the winning essay from her/his room.  Among the teachers of that grade level at that school, one essay will be chosen per grade level per school.

The building, grade level winning essays must be given to the building CHARACTERplus representative by February 15.

The essays submitted by building will be evaluated anonymously by a community committee.  One winner per grade level per school district will be invited (with his parents or principal) to read his essay at the Rotary Club luncheon on May 5 and the winning essays will be printed in the local newspapers and posted on the school district website.

Questions may be addressed to building CHARACTERplus representatives or to Carole Cotner at ccotner@jersey100.k12.il.us or 498-5527.
